Dear Mario:

Please accept my most heartfelt thank you for an extraordinary vacation. Every element of the tour you put together was flawless: Pick-ups for our transfers and tours were right on time, the accommodations were each more fabulous than the next, the tours were both informative and intimate due to the small size of our groups, and most of all, your country and its citizens could not have been more welcoming.

I want to especially single out Olman ("Ollie") Quiros Corella, who picked us up from the airport, drove us to Arenal and escorted us to Baldi Springs, and drove us from Manuel Antonio back to San Jose. He did much more than drive us; he introduced us to your wonderful country by telling us about its history, its current economy, its landscape and geology, and the people who make the country so special--literally everything! He also went out of his way to stop at sodas and restaurants featuring delicious, home-cooked food, handmade crafts, and wonderful people. We will never forget Ollie's hospitality, friendliness, and pride in your country. We were truly sad to bid farewell, since it felt like we were saying goodbye to a friend.

I also want to acknowledge all of the guides we had on our tours. Each was extremely knowledgeable and attentive to our questions: Our guide on the Monteverde canopy walk (I believe his name was Jason), who gave the three of us a 3-hour-long walk through the bridges and trails of the canopy; Mauricio who guided us on the Nature Walk in Manuel Antonio; and our guide and driver on the Cano Negro boat cruise. Each went out of his way to personalize the tours, single out unusual and rare flora and fauna, and give us a greater appreciation of the tours. Please make sure that they are acknowledged and thanked by their tour companies.

Last but far from least, please extend our gratitude to the operators of the hotels where we stayed: Colours, Arenal Volcano Observatory Lodge, El Establo, and Villa Roca. Each was immaculate, gracious, and beautifully landscaped . The rooms were comfortable and spotless. The breakfasts were stunning. We felt pampered and indulged by everyone from the reception desk to the dining room and housekeeping staffs. Again, please extend out gratitude and praise.

Certainly, one would expect a glitch or flaw on a 10-day tour. To the contrary, there were absolutely none. We could not have been more satisfied, and we will happily share our good feelings with our colleagues, family, and friends. Mucho gracias, and Pura Vida!

I would like to thank you for allowing us to purchase a tour package with your company.  We had a wonderful experience.

As a single parent traveling with 4 children to a foreign country, I was quite nervous as you can imagine.  I am not normally the kind of person that just purchases a tour over the internet; however, I decided to take a chance.  Your website was very professional, and you returned my emails promptly.  Additionally, the cost of the tour was significantly less than those offerred by the cruiseline.  Therefore, I went for it.

We were met at cruise port by Ollie.  The private "air conditioned" van was there just as promised.  Ollie was so very nice, professional, informative, and funny.  We all felt at ease immediately.  Safety was a #1 priority.  He was especially patient with my 7 year old disabled child.  I just can not say enough good things about him.  We were all very sad to leave.

Greenway Tours is fabulous!  We took the Combo tour (Tortuguero Boat Trip and Jungle Breezes Canopy Tour).  The guides met us at the cruise ship dock with  our names posted on a large placard for easy identification.  The van was clean, air-conditioned and comfortable.  Most of all, the guides were friendly, extremely knowledgeable, well-educated, and humorous.   They answered all of our questions and provided details on everything we saw.  They stopped the boat at many locations to point out flora and fauna that we would not have noticed without them.  The canopy tour was safe, exciting, and breath-taking.  Of all the excursions we took on our 10-day cruise, Greenway Tours far exceeded those that the cruise ship offered.  Also, the price was much more reasonable than cruise ship excursions.  Greenway Tours is safe, educational, fun, and highly recommended!

Hi, wanted to send a quick email to let you know we had a wonderful trip in Costa Rica with our guide Ollie (I hope I am spelling his name correct. I know this is a shortened version of his name that he uses- he is one of the guides from San Jose, if that helps). We did the trip through the Tortuguero Canal and Nature Walk/Zip Line tour. We originally signed up for the nature walk portion of this trip, but at the last minute my friend and I were able to do the zip lines for an additional fee, while my parents continued on with the walk. Everyone was so accommodating. Costa Rica, for me, was by far the best trip of our cruise. Ollie was amazing, very informative, and pleasant to be around. We felt very lucky to have him as our guide and would recommend him in a minute.

Hi Mario,

I wanted to let you know that my husband Brian and I (Sandy) had the BEST time on your tour!
We had a little mix up finding our group, we were up near security, and the group was back by the ship (oh well, it worked out fine once we caught up with everyone).

Our guide for the day was Olman Quiros Corella and the driver was Mau.  Olman was EXCELLENT.  His english was great, so he was able to communicate so
much information and made the tour so enjoyable.  The canal boat driver Eddie was also wonderful.  He was able to spot several things on the boat ride....
monkies, iguanas, sloths, birds (that we would have missed otherwise!).  The Canopy Ride was a THRILL.  All the people at Brisas de la Jungla were Wonderful and so friendly.  Although I was scared to death, they quickly made me feel safe and secure and we ended up having a blast!

I initially got information on your company through "cruisecritics.com"..............several people raved about you, and I will soon be another adding my comments to the list!

We were extremely pleased with our vacation and the service your company provided.  It all went off without a hitch!  Ollie was wonderful - very knowledgable and very friendly.  He even made the long drives fun!  We liked all the activities - it would be hard to pick a favorite.  I would say that the hotel in Manuel Antonio (Caliste Eclipse) was not up to the same standard as the others we satyed in.  Rooms were noisy (we could hear the guy above us snoring) the service was so-so and the place was looking rather shabby.  However, the rooms were huge, which was nice.  Mawamba was terrific, as was the Neotropic (where the staff were great and very nice to the two teenagers in our party).  We really liked the chocolate tour at the reserve next door.  The hotel at Arenal was lovely and our rooms had spectacular views.  I will most definitely recommend your company to my many friwends who hope to visit Costa Rica.

       Yes . We had a wonderful trip. The people of Costa Rica where very friendly and courteous. The arrangements for the transportation and the hotels where great. The drivers of all the trips where really great in their punctuality and in their driving.  I was very scared about doing the ZIPline tour. But the company you chose where extremely thorough in their job and it was a very fun filled trip.

Great tour, it's a cliché perhaps, but we truly had the "vacation of a lifetime".  Feel free to use the following testimonial on your website.

We just got back from our trip to Costa Rica (the Eco Adventure Tour with the private transfer option).  It was fabulous!  I have to admit that when I booked with you, I was a bit apprehensive.  I had only dealt with large American tour companies before, and though I did my "homework" and checked you out (glowing testimonials from former clients and good reports from government agencies and travel agent associations) I just didn't know what to expect from a comparatively small Costa Rican tour company.  However, as soon as I met the friendly driver who picked us up at the airport, I knew my worries were over.  All the hotels you booked for us were wonderful.  In fact, the one we stayed at in Monteverde (hotel De Establo), was the most luxurious hotel we had ever stayed in anywhere; with breathtaking views from our balcony of the forested mountains and the Golfo De Nicoya beyond.  The guided tours were great.  I am reasonably certain that the cost of the hotel stays alone, had we booked them ourselves, would have cost more than the entire tour.  All our transfers were right on time (even a bit early in one case), the drivers friendly and moderately fluent in English (my wife speaks some Spanish, but she rarely had to use it) and the vehicles clean and in good repair.  I will always remember one particular transfer; the one  from Arenal to Monteverde.  We were picked up at our hotel and taken a few miles to a boat launch on Lake Arenal.  We didn't quite know why we were stopping.  The driver moved our luggage to a large tour boat, and as the only passengers on a boat designed to carry 20 or more people we motored for about 30 minutes across the lake taking in the beautiful tropical scenery with Volcan Arenal in the background, to be met on the other side by another driver to complete our journey.  Not only did we save a few hours with this shortcut (going straight across rather than around Lake Arenal), but we felt like royalty.  It's not often that a package tour transfer becomes a cherished memory!

In short EVERYTHING on our tour was perfect.  I don't know when we will get a chance to visit Costa Rica again (soon, I hope), but I would have no hesitation at all in booking with Greenway Tours.

As an interesting side note.  We flew out of Charlotte, NC.  Since Charlotte is several hours from our home, and our flight left in the morning, we decided to book a suite at the Homewood Suites near the airport for the night before our flight.  For this booking, we used the giant online travel company Expedia.com.  We got to the hotel late at night, after a long drive through a terrible thunderstorm, only to find that Expedia had botched our reservation and the hotel did not have any rooms available.  We called Expedia and ended up talking to a "customer service rep" in India who did not have the authority to correct the problem.  After being put on hold for more than 30 minutes while the "customer service rep" consulted with her supervisor, we gave up and had the night manager at the Homewood Suites call other hotels and book us a room.  It took more than an hour, as all the nearby hotels were booked up.  I am telling you this because  I found it ironic that your small company could handle an entire 8 day tour of Costa Rica without a single problem and a "mega giant" online travel company like Expedia couldn't manage a single night's lodging in the US and could not correct the problem in a timely manner.

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you.  Now that I am back to the real world.  I am getting some of the things I have been needing to do done.

First of all we all as the Cruise Buddy group want to thank Ollie as our guide for such a great day.  Our tour was wonderful.  Ollie was so nice and informative to us.  We enjoyed him totally.  We all felt our boat trip was the best part of our day in Costa Rica.  We as a group also were very disapointed that we did not get to see all the colorfull birds we had hoped to see.  But even with not seeing the birds on the first part of our tour, we still all were very happy with our tour with Greenway.  I also know that this wont be the last time we come to Costa Rica.  When we come back we will make sure to contact you again.

We had a tour to the canals and the pineapple plantation on Feb. 8 along with the Holloways. Our guide was Mario, an exceptional young man, who has such a vast knowledge of flora and fauna in Costa Rica.  We wanted you to know how much we enjoyed that morning. It was probably the highlight of our cruise. Mario and the boat operator were great at searching out birds and sloths and bats, etc.. for us to view. One sloth was even moving about, no more than 10 ft from our boat. we learned a lot about the growing and processing of pineapples and oh.... the samples we enjoyed! We're so glad we booked with you. We just got back from our Cruise.   In Costa Rica we went on the Tortuguero boat trip and jungle breezes canopy tour with your company.  Olman and Minor were wonderful very professional and knowledgable. The boats were new and clean.  We had a small group which gave us space and personal attention.  We seen people from the cruise and they were piled into a boat they had no room what so ever.  The zip line was the best. Our plan is to go back to Costa Rica, hopefully in 2009.  At that time we would like to see the Puntarenas side.  We would hope to stay at very nice resorts with you to handle our sight seeing throught out the trip.  We will contact you when we are ready.

I recently took part on a tour you arranged for the Courtyard Group from the Volendam in Puerto Limon.  I simply want to compliment you on the excellent tour.  The young man who lead the tour was extremely knowledgeable, had a great personality and made the tour very enjoyable.  The bus that was provided was great and very comfortable.

             I will be returning to Costa Rica for 10 days beginning 14 February.  I will be staying in San Jose at the Colours Oasis Resort and will probably be contacting you about other tours during the time I will be there.

    Thank you for planning our wonderful tour of Costa Rica.  Ellen Hughes and I were very impressed with the beauty of Costa Rica, the friendliness of the people, and the excellent planning.  The trips were fantastic, didn't know I could walk that far, but there was so much to see and the guides were always considerate and allowed us to go at our own pace.  The guides were knowledgeable and informative wherever we went.  The accomodations were superior.  The only one that fell short was in Manual Antonio - probably because the rest were so special.  As I look at my pictures I keep hearing myself say "When Can I Go Back".  Thank you for a fabulous time in Costa Rica.  And yes, I did kayak and see the monkeys!!!!

I am writing to thank you so much for all the hard work you put into the organisation of our trip to Costa Rica. The students who came (as well as the staff) had a once in a lifetime experience and they have all learnt so much. I can honestly say that the trip was life changing for them and they have all been enriched and grown so much for their experience.

Thank you to you, Paul, Ernesto, Jenny for all your hard work. Paul was wonderful at modifying our program if need be and planning things so smoothly. We would definitely recommend greenways in the future and I hope that we will come back in the future too.

Ideally we would like to return in our holidays in February in 2010 - this is all just an idea at the moment but the trip was so successful it is something the school is considering! we will keep you posted on this
